Eat: The Station

by Cat on September 28, 2012

What do you get when you mix a pop-up store, paninis, Heath ceramic serveware and Blue Bottle Coffee? This is a place I would typically expect in the Mission ‘hood but The Station is located right in the heart of North Beach. Designing Mom Shinmin and I had a chance to catch up and eye some pop up fashion all at the same sitting.

Happy Friday and weekend everyone!

Make: Sweet Baby Shower

by Cat on September 25, 2012

I am triple amping my morning workout today due to the high volume “sweet and savory” trafficking over the weekend… My dear friend Joycelyn had her baby shower and everyone was abuzz helping with food, games, desserts and decor. I helped with some of the decor and found lanterns at the local paper shop (they can be purchased at Land of Nod).  Invites and favor tags for her green tea and almond madelines were created by my studio. We spied the dessert trays and pinwheels at the local dollar Daiso shop. The scrumptious cupcakes were thanks to two Amys. Aprons not pictured were created from scrap fabrics (thanks to Winnie’s sewing prowess!). Overall it was a joyous afternoon spent toasting Joycelyn and her hubby Desmond on their upcoming bundle of goodness!
