Friday Roundup: Kick Around

by Cat on March 25, 2011

• Stick around…or shall I say “kick around” on Monday as I introduce a new Fitness Guru here for all of us (and your little ones) at Mom Inc Daily!  IMHO…nothing clears an overtaxed mom’s mind than a good workout.(above): I am wondering if my Nikon counts as a barbell…

And more odds and ends for this Friday…

• I’ve been trying to retrain ‘Zilla on his sleep habits lately and was thankful for this app that came across my desk the other day.  Patuto Press has put out a fun app for parents called “My Voice Lullaby“. You can record lullabies or shushing sounds in your own voice to play in the room when you’re gone.  It will check the sound levels in the room and taper down volume…hopefully putting your little one into a deep, wondrous slumber.

• April is national poetry month and if you are in the NY area: Charles P. Rogers and Writopia Labs is hosting “Ready. Set. Write: The Poetry Edition” for children aged 8-18.  The workshop offers a chance for children to work with a published poet.  An open mike performance for parents will conclude the event.   This special workshop is Sunday, April 10 from noon to 4pm at 55 West 27th, New York City.

Have a Happy Friday and weekend everyone…see you all Monday!
