2011 Renegade Craft Fair San Francisco, part 1

by Cat on July 11, 2011

It’s that time of year again… the annual Renegade Craft Fair was at San Francisco over the weekend, chock full of talented artists and designers. There were so many I am splitting this up into a few posts starting with this one…

I found myself emitting cooing sounds when I saw these critters by Minneapolis based Fox and Owl. Purposefully askewed and askanced ears, torsos and eyeballs…just my favorite kind of stuffed toy for the little one!

I was so glad to see veterans like Lorena Siminovich of Petit Collage at the Fair. Her prints and posters are always a fave of mine for the kiddie room.

Nice by Caitlin Holcomb is exactly that.  Add sweet, whimsical and fun with her banners and illustrations.  My favorite were the shimmery, tassled, “Be My Baby” banners that would look amazing over a dessert table at a baby shower or birthday party.

The little ring and jewelry holders made out of vintage plates and cups and knobs by Who Made It were absolutely darling.  I could see these prized beauties sitting on top of a little girl’s dresser.

If you are into illos and diagrams then Girls Can Tell will be right up your alley with fun lunch bags and onesies. Also perfect for the little one who is always asking, “mommy, what is that?”

So this is just sampling…stay tuned for more of the roundup this week!

Oh, my goodness–if I had been there, I would have done some pecuniary damage! I sell at somewhat smaller craft fairs, so I’m always highly interested in seeing other booth displays. This post was obviously pure eye candy in more than one way, then.
