Decorate: Camp Themed Birthday

by Cat on April 6, 2011

You’re in for a treat today…  One of my favorite things about Mom Inc Daily is being able to get peeks into some of the amazing celebrations you all have with your little ones.  This one was sent in by Melanie Carter of Lucky and Lovely.  It is the most darling, creative little camp themed party for her very lucky and lovely daughter Zoe. Hope you are just as inspired as I am on the details behind this special event…

From Melanie:

The theme for the party was Camp Zoe and it was complete with a s’mores bar, nature hunt and custom photo booth. I kicked off the details with a logo centered around woods, birds and all things peace and girly. The invitation was a custom die shape with a mini flashlight in bright colors. The main color palette was green and aqua blue with pops of hot pink and rainbow of other colors. Each child who entered was given a custom printed camp tshirt, headband and canvas bag to collect their nature hunt specimens. When they arrived they were greeted with lemonade, rosemary pinenut popcorn and fruit kebobs. After running through out the hidden lodge tucked away in the tall pine trees, the children danced and then were treated to a lunch of Zoe’s favorites: grilled cheese to perfection, mac-n-cheese and fried chicken skewers. The adults were treated to grown up versions of these foods plus shrimp corn dogs and spring rolls. The chocolate fudge cake with cookies and cream filling replicated a rustic tree stump with a camping tent on top. The “camp” fire was done so that when the birthday candles were lit, it came to life. Custom “Camp Zoe” flag was created using an edible image and the tent was done out of sugar paste. In addition, the children were treated to a sweets buffet of custom cookies by Dandy Delights, s’mores bar with flavored marshmallows and lots of candy. Handmade pennant flags and custom thank you boxes completed this sweet fete!
