by Designing Mom Erika of Delphine
One of my favorite projects to design each year is our calendar. This year I switched from letterpress to digital/flat printing because I really wanted to go for A LOT of color. I completely flooded the backgrounds with ink (and also the backs of each month are full color) so these calendars would stand out. If your desk is anything like mine, it’s a cluttered mess. I used the best-selling and favorite icons from our collection of note cards and custom invitations to design the calendar. After I had it all laid out, I realized that the color scheme is decidedly cool: lots of blues and greens, with little pops of yellow.
The calendar is size 4.25in x 5.5in, and is flat printed on extra thick recycled cover stock. Each month is also printed on the back in a solid ink color, for an extra shot of color. It ships with a magnetic bull clip so you can hang it on your fridge or magnetic bulletin board (or the side of your file cabinet, where mine is). If you have purchased a Delphine calendar with an easel in the past, this year’s calendar will fit on your old easel.
