Make: Braided Boxes

by Cat on March 22, 2011

Some days we are queuing bridal orders and design prototypes and others we are, well, sitting around…braiding?  The photos don’t lie…that’s exactly what happened if you were here at the studio on a Thursday when the team assisted Jaclyn with a project.  Jaclyn had come up with a way to recycle all of the yarn and storage boxes we had used for prototyping.  If you are a closet knitter or bad at it (like me), you can twirl your twitchy fingers around some twine or yarn instead and then glue them around old boxes.  Everyone was pleased with the resulting textures that came about and it’s a great way to recycle your mixed materials (below).
