Ferme à Papier

by Cat on May 1, 2013

I’m really excited to be announcing the launch of my new stationery collection, Ferme à Papier to all of you today! Maybe some things are worth waiting for as it was my first trip to Paris and Europe last October and I became enchanted with the small fetes and gatherings that I experienced. There was chic Paris but I also went to biodynamic farms in the countryside and ate the greenest haricot verts at “supernatural” eateries and so much of this resonated with me. This new collection is more painterly and goes back to my roots of painting and drawing more than ever before. I invite you to come and take a look at the new Ferme à Papier online site and share with anyone who might enjoy!

I am also working on building up our Ferme Blog, pinterest, FB, instagram, twitter and other fun additions that show some of these “european vacation” photos and other daily antics from the studio now that we are channeling navy and haricot verts that I’ll share with you in the coming weeks. Thank you to all for your support and love! Sleepless but ever grateful…Cat.

Make: Peter Rabbit Favors

by Cat on January 30, 2013

It was a lot of fun to read the Further Tale of Peter Rabbit at the Stanford babyGap a few days ago. This was to help celebrate the very fine and fresh Gap Peter Rabbit baby collection. Zilla was on hand to sample their refreshment table which I thought had some really great favor and easter party ideas. Ok, so the fresh carrots did get a bit neglected in light of the giant sour gummy worms but all of it was adorably presented…

Little Houses…

by Cat on January 29, 2013

Do any of you sometimes find yourself unintentionally going the whole week posting up posts with the same family of colors? This month I’ve been thinking in batches of colors for a slew of designs that we’re working on in the studio and wonder if they are finding their way into the posts. These lovely peach, taupe gray and seafoam creations happen to be in my current bookmarks: Vintage Bear Poster by Zu,  Coq and Pate pencil cases, Little Painted Houses by Rodica, You’re a Peach print by TooManySuitors and Vintage Seashells Print.

Do you have construction paper and a skateboard? If the answer is yes and if you are looking for some fun, easy DIY projects for the weekend then take a look. These cutout animals make great dividers for your books. And colorful skateboard wheels look so much more kid friendly on an old shelf don’t they?  Bookshelf BookmarksSkateboard shelf.

Shop: Midwinter Loves

by Cat on January 23, 2013

Two things ignited my crush for agate, quartz and all of their smoky colors… My first ever visit into Paxton Gate where I picked up a beautiful $18 steal of a quartz stone. And the moody photo shoots we’re currently doing at the studio.  These are a few inspired favorites: Clockwise bottom 1. Some pretty incredible ikat kid trousers from Cocon. 2. Beautiful ammomite shells at Paxton Gate 3. Cabbage and King’s arm/leg warmers and wraps for the kiddies make them feel so content and toasty 4. All of the Lunessa Druzy Rock rings  look good enough to eat  5. Last but not least…can’t stop thinking about this funky/prim Spring 2013 Gary Graham ensemble
