Painter, wife and mom Chelsea James somehow captures the sublime in our domestic everyday. I glimpsed her paintings via Design Tonic and loved what she had to say about her art: “I paint for me, for that feeling of challenge, resolve, and completion. Oil paint is very complex, I feel as though I am at the beginning of understanding the intricacies of the medium. The possibilities are endless and I find that exciting. Being an artist enriches the way I see the world.”
