Work It Out: Worship Your Body

It was after a difficult pregnancy and recovery that I decided to never take my body for granted again. I invest time to regularly work out now…and the payoff is more energy for my business, family and a little extra zing in my day. One of the biggest challenges I hear from moms is finding the time to juggle this. The other week I had a chance to tour the Bay Club San Francisco and discovered that a club like this is truly a great investment not just for the individual but for the whole family. Yes, there is yoga in their “aerie-like” studios, and you can lunch on salmon and quinoa, even partake in a full service spa. But one of the things I was most impressed by was that they had an on-site nutritionist who can take into account the eating habits of the family and give tips on getting everyone on track with healthy meals. And the other biggie? They offer childcare at their “Play Club” as well as youth programs where you can sign up your little one for a squash lesson while you’re kickboxing away. What a great way to spend healthy and active time together as a family! I’ll update ya’ll when I try the childcare services with Zilla in the Marin location…
